Don't mean to sound rude. But when you say you don't trade, but ask for others to have pics so they can see yours, that is trading, they show you what they have and you show them. That is basically the definition of trading. If you don't trade you wouldn't need others to have pics to see your albums.

Don't mean to be rude either but that sounds like a newbie talking, which is quite alright since imgsrc is full of newbies anyway! If you had been around for as long as I have, you would know a few things. 1/ "Trading" is only used by LEA and newbies who don't know what LEA is and that only LEA uses it. 2/ I'm no expert in English, this is not my native language, but I'm pretty sure the definition of trading includes some notion of money. At the very least, people trading always ask something in return, which is not my case. I'm not doing that to gain access to passworded albums: if you have nice open albums, you'll get my pass as well as those who decided to protect their albums. For both the reasons stated above "trading" has a VERY BAD connotation."Sharing" on the other hand is more the old school hippie idea of mutual gift within a community. 3/ To answer your last and wrong statement, the only reason I put a password is to protect the privacy of those portrayed in my albums. Even as a newbie I'm sure you know what a repost is and that the web is full or imgsrc pics reposted everywhere. Clearly I don't want that to happen and even if my method is not failproof, at least people I share my pics with are less inclined to repost them as I could repost their own pics if that happened. Again not failproof but it's worked pretty well so far. Also people I share with are nice and would never do such a thing! ;) 4/ Finally I'm just following common sense and usage here: you'll find that people with opened albums mostly post webpics, whereas locked albums mostly contain private material. Somehow people, and not only me, tend to protect their privacy! How weird is that, right? 5/ As far as I know the album you posted in is open to everyone and I didn't ask anything in return, right? So what are you complaing about? Damn, lurkers are so demanding these days! ;)
